So you want to get active. Be sure to choose the right type of active wear for the type of activity you are doing!

Its the New Year and you are all ready to tackle your health and fitness goals... but you need the right clothes and don't know where to start. Or perhaps you got the clothes and showed up to your workout only to find them falling down and not fitting correctly. Here is the problem...there are a LOT of active wear companies out there, but more than that... there are so many different types of exercise. It really makes a difference when you are outfitted correctly for the correct activity. When you feel good, you perform better. 

During my cancer journey, my story got out there and active wear companies sent me their stuff in droves to help support me (and it didn't hurt that I had a big following so it also helped their brand be seen) So I have literally worn HUNDREDS of different brands. During that time, I found a few favorites. So I am going to share my 3 favorite active wear brands for my 3 favorite different types of activity to help you choose your gear. This is 2020! 1. Cardio  
For me it is all about compression when it comes to cardio gear. 

ESPECIALLY in sports bras and leggings.  I do a lot of plyometrics and nothing bugs me more than my pants falling down, or my boobs popping out of my bra during that final set of burpees. 2. Yoga

Leg day... that means lunges. I don't prefer to wear compression wear during this. I like lightweight gear that stays put and that is what Vastitch offers. Compression active wear that doesn't budge

I workout daily. It is non-negotiable for this Cancer survivor to skip a day. 

Once I surrendered to that, the rest was easy. It is like brushing my teeth. I don't skip that, so why would I skip moving my body? The daily workout regime requires a nice big wardrobe of workout attire. So I have pretty much tried every brand out there. No budge squat proof leggings and sports bras

Truth:
Before this past week I have never purchased a pair of fitness leggings or yoga leggings. Don't get me wrong...I have owned over a hundred pair and that's low balling it. During my cancer recovery I wrote a book and every brand under the sun wanted me to wear their gear for their brand to be seen in the book and on my blog, so they sent me free leggings, bras, and tops. Then I started running challenges and brands would sponsor me and send me more leggings. I have been blessed to gift leggings to women's shelters and challengers and coaches that lost weight and needed new clothes.

Some leggings were great. Others were awful ( having to pull up after every move). There were few that were perfection.

I call those the rare gems.

So when I found these new leggings that fit like perfection and DIDN'T BUDGE , were squat proof and was okay for both of my practices yoga AND cardio...I had to order more.
