Frozen Thai Iced Coffee

Thai iced coffee anyone? This will dance on your taste buds like you just had a treat without all the additives. But that’s only part of what’s so great about it..
All the bad things about coffee are swapped out for ‪superfoods‬, protein, probiotics and enzymes, everything that I’ve been feeding my body for the last two years to keep it healthy and Cancer free, including all nine essential amino acids, which you need to help build and repair muscle.
You’ll get a natural boost of #energy – not a quick caffeine buzz that’s followed by a crash – so you can power through a workout and won’t be faced with any late-afternoon cravings for sugar or caffeine to help you reboot and get through the day. Shakeology essentially squashes cravings for junk food by providing more than 70 different nutrients in one delicious glass, and it offers sustainable ‪‎energy‬ that lasts throughout the day.
This costs LESS than your latte from starbucks, but this time you are giving your money to ingredients that prevent cancer, not cause it!

New Year, New you... let's start off with a great detox

Did you know we are only 21 days away from the New year? Yep that is just 3 weeks away to #2105 what are your health and fitness goals? Maybe you have big weightloss goals or perhaps you just want a jumpstart into the new year. I am committed to making this year the BEST year. This year I am holding myself accountable and I am hoping to find some others in this community that does too.
I am running a New year fitness and nutrition challenge for those of us that are wanting a healthier lifestyle. January 2nd I am starting with the 3 day refresh, it's basically a healthy three day wake up call for your body! A detox that allows you to eat food and not starve. The average weight loss is 4-7lbs in three days as well as 2-5 inches! And of course it's all natural! You can see more about it here; http://youtu.be/JzGpmybPt38 Then I will be following it up with a 21 day fix program.. that will require 30 minutes of exercise a day.. that is it! I will provide meal plans, shopping lists, and recipes for the 21 days. More about that later...
The 3 Day Refresh Complete Kit includes Shakeology for breakfast which helps improve and support all your body's vital functions, while also helping maximize energy and maintain healthy blood sugar levels (available in your choice of 6 flavors, including vegan options). The kit also includes the vanilla fresh shake that helps curb your hunger with more than 20 grams of protein, 22 essential vitamins and minerals, probiotics for digestive health, also included is the Fiber Sweep which gently and naturally eliminates waste from your digestive system with it's blend of whole ground flax, chia, and psyllium seed husks. As part of a healthy diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, Fiber Sweep can help lower cholesterol, and support healthy blood sugar levels. A program guide is also included that walks you through how this program works, what to expect and how to prepare your shopping list, as well as your body for the 3 Day Refresh. It also contains a menu planner with numerous easy-to-make nutritious meals!
Please email me if you are in so I can get a head count and get this challenge rolling. It takes about 5 business days to receive the refresh kit, so I need to get a final count no later than December 22nd to ensure everyone is ready to go once we start! The cost is $69.99 and is all organic and non-gmo and full of superfoods.
I will be following up this program with a 21 day fix program The ‪#‎MotherDaughterReset‬ that will now start January 5th with Taylor Ann and I ...lots of sponsors and prizes!! . You can do one or both. I am doing them back to back for the best new year results ever. Looking forward to hearing from you!!!

Super food Peppermint Patty Milkshake

Time for your Super food lesson!!! Because educating yourself is the first step to good health and nutrition. Today you are learning all about Schisandra!!! This ‪#‎superfood‬ ‪#‎superberry‬ is used in Chinese medicine to‪#‎cure‬ coughs, various liver ‪#‎diseases‬, stomach disorders, spontaneous sweating, and as an adaptogen. In vitro studies have shown that‪#‎schisandra‬ has anti-inflammatory and ‪#‎anticancer‬ properties, and protects against adriamycin-induced cardiotoxicity. In animal models, schisandra‪#‎protects‬ the liver against various toxins, has beneficial effects after myocardial infarction, enhances ‪#‎endurance‬ and ‪#‎metabolism‬, as well as improves cognitive functioning , and exhibits antimicrobial, ‪#‎antioxidant‬,‪#‎neuroprotective‬, and anti-hyperglycemic activity . Moscow Mule

I recently got to review The new book THE ARCHITECTURE OF THE COCKTAIL. What a treat! This book reveals the answers to all your burning cocktail queries and more. Focusing on the precise measurements to help you craft the perfect cocktail as well as the recommended garnish and embellishments, you'll no longer have to guess what the perfect cocktail should taste like.
Illustrated with whimsical “blueprints” of each cocktail, the book features 75 different cocktails and recipes for both modern cocktails and classic favorites.
Not sure which stemware is appropriate? Consult the mini guide on identifying the correct glass in the back of the book. Mix, shake, strain, or stir? An easy legend right up front provides symbols for each and more. Exact measurements and notes on precise procedure will help everybody from the novice bartender to the seasoned mixologist.

Living in San Diego in the historic Gaslamp district, I decided to make my districts drink. Down here every restaurant features Moscow Mules. It is considered the gaslamp's signature drink. They serve it in copper cups. I didn't have copper cups, so I went with a tall tumbler like the book suggested.

I followed the blueprint and was very pleased with how the drink turned out. I only made one change and that was to add candied ginger as the garnish instead of lime. My history with limes is not so great, so my husband was very pleased with the added ginger. The drink was perfect thanks to THE ARCHITECTURE OF THE COCKTAIL

Moscow Mule

2 oz Vodka
4 oz ginger beer (ginger soda)
Ice
Lime wedge, or candied ginger

Fill a tall tumber with ice. Pour in 2 fluid ounces of vodka , coating the ice. Add in 4 fluid ounces of ginger beer (ginger beer contains no alcohol and ginger soda works the same). Stir briefly with a spoon. Garnish with a lime wedge or candied ginger.

Pumpkin Spice Latte

Forget dropping $5 every morning for a small latte at Starbucks. With just a few minutes and some pre-made drizzle and whipped cream, you have a wonderful latte that puts Starbucks pumpkin spice latte to shame.

Pumpkin Spice Latte
Makes 2
1 cup milk

1 cup strong coffee or esspresso
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1/4 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice

Whipped cream
*optional caramel drizzle

You can do this in the microwave or on the stove.  Heat milk to a simmer and add in white chocolate chips. Continue heating until melted, add in Pumpkin Spice and stir or whisk until blended in. Fill each cup half full of the milk mixture. Brew your coffee or espresso. Fill the other half of the cup with the coffee. Top with some fresh whipped cream and a bit of Caramel Drizzle if you wish.

Tip: I make caramel drizzle by cooking condensed milk until it caramelizes. I store it in a ketchup tube and reheat it by placing the bottle in hot water.
