Caramelized Balsamic Portobello Mushrooms

I went to George's at the cove a while back and had these babies. So good! Randy says they are better than steak. Gotta love that man. Super easy to make and quick too.


1 shallot or red onion diced
Large sliced portobello mushrooms
1 clove garlic minced
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
Spirtz of olive oil

Put 1 tsp olive oil in pan over medium heat. Saute shallots or onions for 2 minutes. Add garlic and saute for 1 more minute. Add mushrooms, vinegar, thyme and basil. Lower heat and cover pan. Cook for 6 minutes turn over mushrooms and add 1 more tbsp balsamic and cook for 6 more minutes.
