I make a lot of ranch dressing. I also make a lot of ranch flavored potato chips. Anything ranch in our home is devoured pretty quickly. There was a time and place that I would buy the ranch packets at the store. Then one day I decided to look at the ingredients. Yeah. I would rather not have fillers and preservatives in my food. Time to make it from scratch and keep it on hand. I do have all the ingredients in my house at all times anyway.
Gluten-Free Dry Ranch Seasoning Mix
adapted from TheSkinnyFork.com
2 Tbsp. Parsley
2 Tsp. Garlic Powder
2 Tsp. Onion Powder
1 1/2 Tsp. Dill
1 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Tsp. Pepper
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl or empty spice jar.
Store in an airtight container until ready to use. I store mine in my small Stainless Steel containers.
I was really fortunate to have the opportunity to review these handy containers. With so much controversy over plastic containers, these are the perfect non-toxic alternative. They are made of unlined 18/8 food-grade stainless steel. They have Non-toxic lids made of LDPE number 4 plastic. They are free of BPA, phthalates, PVC and lead. You can reuse them over and over and really keep my spices fresh. I love that the lids are easy to put on and stay on very secure. So I feel safe even storing liquids in them, without having to worry about them spilling in my husbands lunch. They are the perfect size for seasoning, dips, dressings, and snacks.
