Any of you get sick of going to buy dressing and the label has added gluten and preservatives? It is honestly just safer to make it all yourself. It is pretty easy as long as you have a blender. Here is how I make mine.
Homemade Ranch Dressing
1 tsp parsley
1 tsp basil
1 tsp dill
1 tsp chives
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
Optional: 1 jalapeno chopped
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until mixed well. For a spicy jalapeno ranch, add the chopped jalapeno and blend.
Store in a glass jar in the fridge until ready to use.

Oh my gosh, why have I never made my own ranch?! Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI could eat that entire bowl with just my finger. Yes.. I'm sick and addicted to Ranch dressing. I dip my fries, my chicken nuggets etc.. in ranch. I need to make some homemade ranch.. bet it's outrageously good. :) Have a great weekend!! ~ Ramona
ReplyDeleteYou can't go wrong with homemade ranch dressing, and I love the thought of adding jalapeno to spice things up! Great recipe!
ReplyDeleteRanch is my all time favorite dressing !! I'm going to try this !! =)
ReplyDeleteRanch is my all time favorite! I dip & top EVERYTHING with Ranch.
ReplyDeleteThank-you so much. I am lactose intolerant and l love Ranch.
ReplyDeleteTry buttermilk in place of the sour cream or Greek yogurt. Cheaper, and less calories.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to make this. I *heart* Ranch dressing, and really want to find a homemade version. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
ReplyDeleteIf I'm not mistaken, when Hidden Valley first came out with Ranch dressing, it's base was
ReplyDeletebuttermilk, not mayo or sour cream. I love Ranch dressing also and am very anxious to try the recipe this weekend. Think I will use some buttermilk, though, or make a batch both ways and see which the family prefers. This is going to be much cheaper than buying all those bottles of dressing. Thanks a bunch!
Are these fresh or dried herbs?
ReplyDeleteAre these fresh or dried herbs?
ReplyDeleteI use fresh when I have them, if not I use dried. They both work fine.
