Well as promised I did serve leftovers tonight. Daughter who now has the flu is in bed trying to consume one cheerio at a time. Son, who refuses to EVER eat leftovers made some dorito nasty cheese thing. Hubby and I however ate pure homemade bliss that was even better the 2nd day. BUT, work was hectic. Cleaning up after sick daughter was hard. Plus when I am sick, all the housework gets left for when I am better. So I did 11 loads of laundry (which are all folded and put away thank you very much!). I also dealt with customers and to top it off, we are having a photo contest at Pure Country Pet Boutique which is super fun, but A LOT of work. I love seeing the cute dogs all dressed up in their dog clothes, but keeping track, arranging the HTML code on top of my regular job can be a bit taxing. So I cut out a little early and made a Chocolate Souffle. It was my first Souffle ever. Turned out pretty darn good if I do say so myself. I was too lazy to run back up the stairs and get the camera. I feel I have run up and down the stairs 30 times today tending to sick daughter. I also prepped chocolate Creme Brulee for tomorrow nights meal. I had to change from the bavarian cream because i do not have any geletin. Who knew? I had no idea I needed gelatin for a chocolate cream dish. So scratch the Bavarian Cream until next week. Chocolate Creme Brulee is setting in my fridge and will be a perfect addition to the Boeuf Bourguignon I will be making for tomorrow nights meal. I think I will be serving it with Salad though. I already made the Harticots Verts a la maitre d'hotel and I am pushing back the Bifteck Saute Bercy because I can only handle so much beef in a row.
Did I mention my new book is here? It is! I am so excited. Next week Italian.
