Orange Banana Acai Protein Smoothie

I admit I usually skip a smoothy and just go for eating the fruit. But...sometimes, I don't have the fruit, or sometimes I have fruit that needs to be used NOW! So I started making smoothies, putting them in ziplock bags in the freezer. All I have to do is cut the bag open and plop the contents into my blender and blend.
The perfect quick snack or meal replacement for when I am in a hurry.

You can really add anything you want to your smoothies. They are simple to make. I have started using Freeze dried Acai in mine. Some studies show that acai fruit pulp has a very high antioxidant capacity with even more antioxidant content than cranberry, raspberry, blackberry, strawberry, or blueberry.

I also put Maca powder in mine. This root is full of minerals and vitamins which are required to the healthiness of your body. Mineral deposits which includes calcium supplement, mineral magnesium, and iron are all located in maca, in combination with C vitamin and nutritional vitamins B1, B2, B6, and B12. Every one of these nutritional value are very important aspects of our body’s functionality. Additionally it is full of fiber content, getting 4 times much more fibers compared to the normal potato. The root also includes 18 healthy proteins.

Orange Banana Acai Protein Smoothie
1 scoop Acai powder
1 banana
1 orange, juiced
1 scoop vanilla whey protein (I like perfect fit)
1 1/2 cups ice
1 scoop maca powder
1/2 cup water

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until it has the consistency of a milkshake.
