New Year New You for 2017 Let's get a plan!

Hi, I am Christi, and I am here to motivate you.

Fail to plan, plan to fail. 
The New Year is upon us, and while I don't think you need a new year to start, I know a lot of people choose it as a time to start, because it is a clean slate. 

I am a clean slate kind of person. 
I love Monday's. 
I love a New Year.
It is just the feeling of a clean blank page that I like, and those are the times I have associated as "fresh" starts. 

If you are a clean slate kind of person and are ready to make some changes this next year, let me explain to you why you need a coach. 

Most reputable coaches have a company backing them. It is important for your vision to be in line with the companies vision. For instance. my companies mission statement is:
Help people achieve their goals and live a healthy, fulfilling life.
It is also important to know what the company offers, and how the coaches are trained. 
Basically... what is the agenda? 
It my duty as a coach to talk with you and hear what your current situation is like. 

What is your goal?
How fast do you want to get to that goal?
What do you eat?
What do you splurge on?
What can you not live without?
Do you drink and if so how often?
Do you currently exercise?
What kind (if any) of exercise do you enjoy?
What kind of exercise do you hate?
What are your struggles?
What are your strengths?

It is my duty to listen, and find a solution for you that fits in with your lifestyle. There is no ONE SIZE FITS ALL solution. There are many many solutions that help so many different types of lifestyles. 

I am opening a few slots for people who want to work with me for 6 months. 
Why 6 months?
Because I want to HELP people who REALLY need HELP, and people who really need help are not going to be done needing help and encouragement after one month. 

My services are FREE.
My company pays me and rewards me for helping people, that is not your job. Your job will be to show up and work on you. 

It will take an investment in your health. 
Not much.
You pay more to Starbucks and Frito-Lay than it will cost you. You have to learn to control your habits, or your habits will control you.  If you really want a change, it will 100% start with your diet. So I will find where those "snacks" happen and exchange it for superfoods, either in the form of a smoothie, or if you are not a smoothie person, I will show you easy recipes like yogurt, granola, pancakes, lava cakes, waffles, ice cream etc.... 
It ALWAYS starts with what you eat, so we conquer your diet FIRST. 
We do NOT DIET.
We eat. 
I say WE because I do it right along with you. This is a LIFESTYLE. I just teach you how to rethink your food as fuel. By all means we want you to eat and eat well. Just with real whole food ingredients. I teach you how to make these EASY recipes and also teach you how to eat out. You get to LIVE. We want this to be a PERMANENT fix for you.

Kick Cancer - 21 days to an Alkaline body detox, followed by clean eating to maintain. Completely cleans out your body, great for those wanting to know if they have food allergies. You eat but we slowly eliminate grains, meats and dairy. After 21 days you slowly start to add them back one at a time so you learn what you are tolerant and intolerant to. This has eliminated symptoms of SO MANY of my clients with autoimmune diseases.

Why not you?

Mine is everywhere. 
Many of you don't know my past. You see, I have 3 college degrees. Every time I would finish one, I would find something else I wanted to learn. I have worked in early child development, Accounting, was a software engineer for 5 years, and ran my own multi million dollar business for 10 years prior to my Cancer battle... I still say this is what caused my cancer because I had to work 80 hour work weeks to keep that thing rollin'.

All of it prepared me for today. But none of it filled my soul with joy. I know I am here to help others and those other professions, just didn't fill my cup. 

Coaching entered my life during my recovery from cancer. I was led to superfoods and healing my body through nutrition and movement and it changed everything for me. 

This is NOT about weightloss.

Yes it is a side effect of eating right and moving my body. But I help many gain weight too. This is about total and complete happiness and contentment with your life. 

 I get to connect with people all over the U.S. and Canada and help encourage them on their journey and they encourage me right back. 

I can work from anywhere with a wifi connection. I have worked on sailboats, cruise ships, airplanes, trains, cars,  hotel rooms, my garden, the park, the library, the beach... you name it. 

I wake up excited to check in with my tribe and see who I can help encourage and often times, they turn around and encourage me. 

My body is stronger than it has ever been.
I look forward to Monday morning. 
I LOVE my job and would do it even if I wasn't paid to do so. 
I am encouraged to spend time developing myself, filling my tank. 
I am surrounded by like minded individuals that uplift me rather than those who bring me down.
Every day I am encouraged to continue working towards being the best version of me. 

SO my question for you is this. 
If you don't like Monday mornings and commuting, what are you going to do to fix it?

Cheesy Broccoli Quinoa and Giveaway

My daughter and I are Quinoa (keen-wa) fanatics. It is the perfect grain. Gluten-Free, packed with protein and so tasty! I use it as a substitute for barley alot. I make Quinoa patties, all the time and also use it in casseroles as a substitute for rice. We eat a lot of rice and it is nice to have other things to eat. it holds its form and texture so much better than rice does. This dish is one of our favorite. It tastes like a macaroni and cheese dish, only much healthier. If you love a good broccoli cheddar soup, you are going to love this dish. Same flavors, but with some texture.

Cheesy Broccoli Quinoa

adapted from Closet Cooking

1 cup quinoa, well rinsed

1 3/4 cups chicken broth

2 cups broccoli, chopped
1 cup cheddar, shredded
salt and pepper to taste

Add quinoa, broth and broccoli to a large pot. 

Cover and bring the quinoa, broth and broccoli to a boil over medium heat, reduce the heat and simmer covered until the broth has been absorbed and the quinoa is tender,about 15-20 minutes.
Mix in the cheese, let it melt and season with salt and pepper.
Serve!

December's Clean Eating Crock Pot Group


I am in the middle of leading this amazing group right now on this clean eating challenge. It is going so well, we are getting a lot of people asking to join midway through. SO back by popular demand, we are doing another one December 1st!

Why do it? One week of putting real whole food in your body can change everything. Your mood, Your aches and pains, Your sleep habits, your outlook on life.
Why not clear out your body before Thanksgiving? I think you are all capable of eating clean for one week. I also think the way you feel at the end of the week will blow your mind.

Okay Holidays! Not this year! I'm not going to let all the deliciousness of holiday foods do me in!! Inversion progression

Yep guys, that is me! 

I am super excited because my first ever Yoga challenge starts in one week on instagram! I am excited for multiple reasons, but one reason in particular is causing me to burst with happiness, and I am ready to share it with you! 

I just signed my third book contract and next year at this time my new book "#instafood - The beginner's guide to eating healthy and staying fit." Will hit the shelves of stores! I am so excited to bring three of my passions to this project. 

1. Healthy whole food recipes - there will be 125 wholesome recipes
2. Yoga - there will be 125 poses
3. Photography - Full color photography for both the recipes and the yoga! 

I am working with numerous athletic wear companies and we will be doing different challenges each month to help motivate people to move. The first challenge is called #30DaysOfYoga. Yesterday we did a big photo shoot. In between shooting the models, I got a couple shots of myself. I had never done a headstand at the beach before and it was so amazing.
