Day 3: Flavors of the Mediterranean with Chef Billy Strynkowski!
This event was also held at the San Diego Wine and Culinary Center.
It was another beautiful day in paradise, so before the event I walked around taking pictures. My husband was busy snapping pictures of me.
When we sat down we all had a lovely place setting.
The chef provided us with QR codes where we can upload all the recipes for the food he made us.
First up was a lovely roasted pepper stuffed with crab.
So tasty! He also gave us some Romesco sauce to dip chips and veggies in.
Chef Billy told us so many good kitchen tips. I walked out of there with 3 long pages of notes.
First, if you want a really easy way to seperate the egg yolk from the whites, all you need is an empty water bottle. Crack the egg into a dish. Squeeze your empty water bottle over the egg and suck in the yolk. Tada!
The kitchen tips just kept coming, from how to peel a head of garlic in 30 seconds, to how to prepare mouth watering mushrooms, and how portabella's got discovered.
He served us some fabulous food. I didn't get pictures of all of it, because I got distracted eating.
Mouth watering shrimp that is lite and healthy.
Mushroom Bruschetta, and so much more!
This event was great. Chef Billy was so personable and just full of so much great information! Thank you Chef Billy! I hope you are back next year!
That Romesco sauce looks great, sounds like an excellent experience!
